Description: South Australian band BLACKWATER approached me to do a promotional run on their upcoming self titled EP release, they sent me the artwork for the CD cover to work with. We came up with a stylised look that featured the CD itself.

This one is a 3 layer composite. For James's body shot I got up a ladder and used the 10-22mm lens at its widest setting to exaggerate the look of distance and perspective. For the hand holding a 50mm lens was used. And finally for quality the CD artwork was overlayed onto the CD case.

All layer rendered then composited in photoshop CS5.

Simple strobe lighting was used with a diffused Vivitar 285HV to the front and close above James's face and a bare Vivitar some distance back diagonally opposite to provide the lighting on the back of his head.
